Mission:Promote the success and community Pride of Corpus Christi through communication, education, inspiration and action.

 

COMMUNICATION

 

IMPROVE Customer Service

·       Establish improved communication between the City of Corpus Christi and the community.

·       Link www.pridecc.com to city website

·       Encourage use of CCMobile apps

 

Be an umbrella campaign, supporting all community efforts

·       Establish improved communication between private and public partners and the community.

·       Determine effective communication methods to include all citizens in Pride campaign (social media, ongoing “Green and Clean Award”  in newspaper, PSA, local news stations, radio, website)

·       Strict criteria in place to be Pride partner- possible levels (gold, silver),  sign for visibility, website exposure.

·       Thank you letters from Mayor Adame and the Pride Committee to recognize Pride partners

 

EDUCATION

 

Promote and encourage established programs that contribute to community Pride

·       free disposal days

·       litter critters

·       city call center number for code enforcement/illegal dumping, etc.

 

Recycle

·       Educate the community about the changes in the recycling program and what they can do to improve recycling efforts

 

INSPIRATION

 

Shop, Play & FLY Locally

·       Buy Corpus Christi first!

·       Partner with CC Chamber Small Business Council

·       Encourage citizens to shop local and promote events held in the city through education and publicity.

o   Promote events that bring revenue to the community

o   Educate locals on upcoming events

o   Encourage all to purchase beach parking permits

 

ACTION

 

Clean City Coordinator

·       Promote and support the Clean City Coordinator position that will coordinate efforts of the city departments, Pride Committee, Clean City Advisory Committee, Mayor's Fitness Council and elected officials.

·       attend monthly meetings to communicate and coordinate efforts of city departments, the community, and the Advisory Committee on Community Pride

·       attend subcommittee meetings as needed

 

Provide lead and support assistance for citywide cleanups and beautification projects that promote city pride.

·       Adopt a Park, Adopt a Median

·       Build a Pride Volunteer database

·       Schedule and join city wide clean ups

·       Support city contracts with Texas Department of Transportation

 

Recycle

·       Promote recycling enhancements as proposed in the 2010-2011 budget.

·       Work to implement a loyalty rewards program, such as RecycleBank.

·       Promote existing recycle program in a coordinated effort to increase percentage of participation. 

·       Support the implementation of enhanced recycling to increase revenue and promote environmental responsibility

·       Create recycle toolkit for latchkey coaches

·       Support development of Clean City’s Speaker’s Bureau

 

WEB SITE and marketing

·       Update and expand web site as a “portal” to list and promote Pride and community efforts

·       Continually seek and partner with organizations who can promote Pride through various media channels
